Dawson Christmases

Christmas Eve night was spent at Blake's parent's house (Christmas #3). We enjoyed yummy snacks an watched several episodes of "How I Met Your Mother." (I am totally hooked now!)Addi also got to open her presents from Grammy & Pop and Brent, Kyle, and Kristen.

She was all about the presents!

Opening her purse full of (REAL!) makey (make-up) from Uncle KyKy

Trying out her new booster seat

The hi-light of the night...Her favorite gift was the free puppy dog (From Victoria's Secret!) that Kristen threw in with Addi's gift. Addi loved it so much she decided to sit on it like a horse, and ride it. It was HILARIOUS (As you can see by the way Kyle is laughing in this picture!)

Trying on her new vest and snow boots from Grammy and new tu-tu from KiKi

Trying on her fancy new dress from Uncle Bink Christmas Eve Night

Christmas morning we had our own family Christmas (Christmas #4) (Pictures to come later) Then we drove out to Billy and Janie's to open gifts too. (Christmas #5)

Opening her stocking at Grammy and Pop's on Christmas morning

Candy was one of her favorite things about Christmas- She was really good at finding it, opening it, and cramming it in her mouth before anyone could tell her "No!"

Kristen and I sporting our new coats and beanies on Christmas morning (Try not to focus in on our pajamas or no make-up faces!!)

We headed to Blake's Granny and PawPaw's for lunch on Christmas day, and had Christmas #6 (I didn't take many pictures!)

Chowing down at Blake's Granny & PawPaw's Christmas

Having fun with Uncle KyKy

Sure looks like Brent and Blake were really happy about this picture, huh??? lol!

And there you have it- The Dawson Christmases!! More Christmas posts to come!!

Hope you're staying warm! We're enjoying watching it snow here!! (And I am totally hoping to curl up with my new Nicholas Sparks' book when Addi goes down for her nap! YAY!)

Christmas in Sterling City

Well, the Christmas celebrating has come to an end. Our 7th and final Christmas was last night. As you can imagine, seven Christmases = lots to blog about and TONS of pictures. It probably won't be very exciting or interesting, but I think I'm going to break each Christmas celebration into separate posts.

So without further adieu, here is Christmas at my parent's house in Sterling City (AKA: Christmas #2)

Trace and Addi photo shoot- Such cuties!!

Addi and JoJo in front of my parent's yard Christmas Card

We had to take our traditional chair pic

Our silly pic- Blake was not having any of it!

She was soo excited about her twin water babies!

Taking it easy in her new UT lawn chair

Enjoying her Christmas Eve breakfast

We discovered Addi has a HUGE sweet tooth this Christmas- She LOVED all the candy!

We woke up Christmas Eve morning to SNOW! It was Addi's first snow too!

As you can see, we had a great Christmas in Sterling City! (Even if the fuel pump on our tahoe went out on the drive back to Coleman on Christmas Eve. Pulled over on the side of the road in the snow is never fun! I have never been so thankful for Blake being a mechanic!!)

More Christmas posts to come!

Until Next Time...

PS- Today is my sweet Blakey's birthday! Happy 28th Blake!! I love you!!

Numero Uno

The Christmas celebrations have officially started at our house! Travis and Alison won't be able to be here on Christmas morning, so we went ahead and did part of the Dawson Christmas this past weekend. Travis and Alison got to open all of their gifts and all the siblings (And sister in-laws) exchanged gifts. It was a nice weekend.

Here are the pictures of Christmas Numero Uno:]

Watching Bink open his presents

She had to lay on her present before she opened it;]

Trying out her new sit-n-spin from Aunt Ali and Uncle T

Addi enjoying a "sleigh ride" from Uncle KyKy

Addi was just taking it all in (Believe it or not, things sometimes get kinda loud and rowdy at the Dawson house! lol)

Adds and Uncle T

"And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care..."

Addi found a pair of shoes she just had to try on. (She needed a little help from Uncle Bink to walk in them though!)

Taking it easy with Uncle KyKy on Sunday afternoon (Of course she was trying to give me her pretty smile!)

Sharing a snack with Bink

The Dawson Kiddos 2009 (Probably not the best picture ever, but it's all we got!)

Addi and I have been busy cleaning today. She and I will to head Sterling City tomorrow, and we for sure don't want to leave with a messy house! ( I think coming home to a messy house is the ABSOLUTE WORST!) Blake will join us Wednesday after he gets off work, and we will enjoy celebrating Christmas with my parents and sister.

Our calander is pretty booked the next couple of days...
The 23rd/24th- My parent's Christmas
The 24th/25th-Dawson Christmas
Also on the 25th- Blake, Addi, and I's own little family Christmas
Another one on the 25th-Blake's Granny & Pawpaw’s Christmas
The 26th- Blake's Ma's Christmas
The 27th-My Grandmommy's Christmas
The 28th-Blake's Birthday
The 31st-The annual Rockin' New Year's Eve Party with my family in Sterling City

WHHHHEWWW!!! Things are sure to be PLENTY busy, but lots of fun:]

Hope all of you have a blessed Christmas season, and enjoy this special time of celebrating the birth of our Savior!

And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. ~Matthew 1:21~

Christmas Dress #2!!

Just a few pics of Addi this past Sunday.

Ready for church Sunday morning. (I could not get a smile out of her AT ALL!)

Sportin' the cardigan

And here she is, ready for our Christmas service at church Sunday night.

Addi and her friend from church, Shelby. Don't they look cute in their foofy (almost matching) dresses?!

They had lots of fun dancing together, and chasing each other around the fellowship hall. It was pretty precious (And they definitely were the center of attention!)

Not much else to report! Congrats to all the blogger babies who have born the past few weeks. Yay for Kelly and baby Kennady, Sarah and baby Jadon, and Amy and baby Brynna. (And I'm really looking forward to the arrival of Susan's baby Brady and Heather's baby Christian (I think that's the name you guys chose??) too! What beautiful little blessings all of you have!! (Kinda makes me want another little baby myself!!) Praise God for these precious bundles of joy!!

Happy Monday!

Fun with the Koper Kids!!

Just a few pictures of Adds before I get to the fun with the Koper Kids:]

In front of the Christmas tree on Wednesday

In front of the tree on Thursday (You can never have too many pictures in front of the Christmas tree, right?? ;])

Addi and I headed to Abilene for a day of fun with Leah and her kiddos. Addi had lots of fun making cookies and playing with Steven, Gabby, and baby Jack-Jack (And Nolan for a little while too!) I had lots of fun talking and catching up with Leah- She was such a great hostess:]

Leah had made up some cookie dough and icing (Yes, she is definitely a little Betty Crocker!) for the kids, and we let them go to town cutting, decorating, and baking Christmas cookies.

These were some of the cookies the kids did ALL BY THEMSELVES:]

Time for the sprinkles!

Lots of sprinkles;]

Even little Jack-Jack got in on the cookie action!

Watching their cookies bake- So cute!

We did one batch of cookies without icing before lunch and another batch with icing after lunch. I left Addi on her own for just a second so I could grab my camera, and when I turned around this is what I found...

Yep...Why squeeze the icing onto your cookies when you can just squeeze it right into your mouth?? lol!

When she wasn't slurping down cookie icing, she was shoving handfuls of sprinkles into her mouth!

Can we say, "SUGAR RUSH??!!"

Steven showing off one of his yummy cookies

I had to get a close up of all the yumminess...MMMMM...hehe;]

Gabby and all her perfectly sprinkled cookies:]

And of course, here is the close up;]

As you can see from the pictures, we had lots and lots of fun! Thanks again Leah for such a great day! (And thanks for letting us bombard your kitchen table and floor with sprinkles, cookie dough, and icing!) Hope we get to hang out again soon!!

Happy Thursday!

Until Next Time...

Weekend In Pictures!

Friday night we made a quick trip to Brownwood for some CiCi's pizza, then came home and put up the tree. It was a fun night, and Addi definitely enjoyed all the Christmas decorating fun!

I promised Blake we would only take ONE self-timer picture...This is what we ended up with- Addi not looking at the camera, and Blake and I looking really tired:]

The finished product:]

Saturday morning Addi and I went with Blake to help him set out some corn in his deer feeder. It was soo stinkin cold!! We pulled up to the feeder, and the cows came running! They thought we were there to feed them! They circled around us, and just mooed and mooed- Addi loved it! She had fun mooing right along with them:]

While Blake was deer hunting Friday afternoon, I began wrapping Christmas presents.

Oh, the mess!

While I was wrapping presents, Addi thought she was being sneaky, and decided to climb up in the computer chair, and play on the computer....She was soo busted;]

These were taken Sunday morning before church. (Addi's cute Christmas dress is one of two holiday dresses I was able to get on sale at Dillards last year after Christmas...We definitely only buy Dillards dresses when they're on sale!! lol)

In other news, Saturday night's UT game against Nebraska was waay too stressful! I was soo nervous for that poor little field goal kicker!! Thankfully, the Horns pulled out the win...It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win! I am so glad they won (For Blake's sake, for my dad's sake, and for all the other men in Myrick and Dawson family's sake!!)

Another winning football team this weekend was the Strawn Greyhounds!! Congrats to Blake's brother, Brent and the rest of the Greyhounds!! They will be playing Garden City in the State Championship game this Saturday in Abilene!! We hope to be there to cheer Uncle Bink on!! (And I would just LOVE it if Strawn beat Garden City...They were definitely a rival of ours back in my high school days!)
Here are some pics of the Greyhounds last year- (They were state champs last year!)

Last but not least, I almost have all of my Christmas shopping done. I just have a few more gifts to buy. I know what I am going to buy, but I just have to wait for a day when I feel like loading Addi up, drive to San Angelo or Abilene and actually buy them! (Yes, one of the disadvantages of living in a small town!)

Only 17 days, 7 hours, 48 minutes, 28 seconds until Chrismas;]

Happy Monday- Hope you're staying warm!

Until Next Time...
