Camo Comparisons

Just a few Camo Comparison pictures

Addi dressed in her camo, ready for dove season last September

Addi, dressed in camo, enjoying deer season this year! (She loves to help Blake put out corn for the deer.)

It's crazy how much my baby has changed in just a little over a year!! She's getting to be such a big, smart, funny girl!

In other news, Addi is finally back to her normal self, and is over the stomach bug. Blake, however came down with the bug last night. I did another top to bottom cleaning/disinfecting job to my house again today. I really hope I don't get it!! (Oh yeah, Blake's dad also came down with the bug last night too...Don't come around us because we are DEFINITELY contagious!) The stomach bug is sooo NOT fun. I am so thankful that it doesn't seem to last too terribly long, but I am really, really ready to have my healthy family back!!

These are just a few pictures of Addi before bed tonight

Her Daddy really encourages her to make this face ("The pretty smile face") when I take her picture...I think I've been seeing it a little too often these days! I can already envision this smile in her Kindergarten school picture!

Not much else to report.

Until Next Time...

PS-ABC's Extreme Home Makeover is coming to Coleman!!???? Sure wish they were coming to my house!

Sad..

I'm sad to say that our Addi girl has the stomach bug. Poor baby woke up at 11:45 last night covered in vomit. It was the saddest thing ever!! She and I stayed up until about 2:30 this morning. At 2:30 she stopped throwing up, and I was finally able to lay her down in her bed. She slept until about 9 this morning. She woke up acting like her normal, self, drank her flat ginger ale, and seemed fine. Since things seemed to be going good, I tried to get her to eat a few bites of toast. Turned out to be a bad idea, because it all immediately came right back up:( She hasn't eaten a thing since last night at around 6:30, and I haven't been able to get her to drink much either. I pray she doesn't get dehydrated! It just breaks a mommy's heart to see their babies sick. It is such a helpless feeling!! (And I personally think the stomach bug is the absolute WORST!) As sad and worried as I am about Addi, I know my emotions over a simple stomach bug cannot compare to the emotions MckMama is going through today. Sweet Stellan has gone through so much, and today he is enduring a heart ablation surgery- Please pray for this precious family!

As of now, my house has smells of Lysol and bleach and Addi is napping peacefully. I pray she wakes up feeling better and able to at least drink a little bit!

And of course, here are a few pictures of our sweet girl:]

Ready for MOPS Friday morning:]

Dressed and ready for church Sunday morning:]

Last, but not least, Good Luck to Whit and the rest of the Lady Eagles as they play Bronte in the Region I-1A regional quarterfinal volleyball game tomorrow night!! We really hope Addi is feeling better so we can make it to the game!!

PS- I am going to attempt to make stew for supper tonight. I've only made it one other time, and it didn't turn out so great. This time around I have my Mema's stew recipe, so I'm hoping it turns out really yummy! (My Mema makes the best stew...And I'm hoping mine will turn out at least half as good as hers!)

Thank You God for the Pretty Leaves!

Or as Addi would say, "Thank you God for the PREEEE Leaves!"

Addi and I have definitely been enjoying the gorgeous weather we've had this week! This morning we went outside and played in the leaves that have just begun falling in our front yard. We also picked up some leaves so we could make a special something to hang on the fridge. Thank you God for the beautiful weather you have blessed us with and for the pretty leaves!!

Before I sign off, I have to mention Addi's latest boo-boo's. Adds loves to get cans out of the pantry, and stack and scatter them throughout the house. Well, about 2 weeks ago while she was playing, Addi dropped a can of green beans on her big toe! Poor baby...She cried and cried. Just when Blake and I would think she was okay, she would look down at her toe (which reminded her of her boo-boo)and start wailing again. The on and off again crying lasted for almost 2 hours!!

Her black toe nail boo-boo:(

Yesterday Addi walked out of the bathroom holding my STRAIGHTENER and SCREAMING. As you can imagine, I absolutely panicked! Thankfully the straightener was off, but it hadn't been turned off for very long. It was still pretty hot, and three of Addi's little fingers got burned. It's not too bad, but she definitely has blisters! Addi had to spend most of yesterday morning with her hand in a cup of cool water. Poor girl just kept saying, "Ouch, my pingers!!"

I know we have lots of boo-boo's in store for the next 18 years or so, but I'm hoping we don't have any more BIG boo boo's anytime too soon!

Until Next Time...

I am NOT a fan!

Yep, I am definitely NOT a fan of the several new wrinkles, (yes, WRINKLES!!) that have recently appeared on the bridge of my nose!! I looked in the mirror earlier this week and thought I had some make up or something on my nose. I tried to wipe whatever it was off, and much to my surprise it wouldn't come off. Upon closer observation (AKA: my face pressed up against the bathroom mirror), I discovered that the 'something' on my nose was a nice size wrinkle! Of course the discovery of a new wrinkle was cause for a more thorough examination of my face, and much to my dismay, there was not just one wrinkle, but SEVERAL wrinkles!! I guess my 26 (almost 27) years of laughing, squinting, sun tanning, and nose scrunching have started to take their toll. Ugh! I guess I'll be needing to pick up some of this the next time I go to Wal-Mart;]

And of course, here's your daily dose of Addi:]

Ready for church Sunday morning

I wonder if Addi knows all her squinting and face scrunching causes wrinkles?? ;]

Sweet girl

On a random note, Panther Creek had to close school yesterday because there have been so many teachers and kids absent because of illness. There were almost 50 people out yesterday (PC is a very small school, so 50 people is A LOT!!) School will be closed until next Monday! I am thankful our little family has stayed healthy thus far, and we are praying we will continue to stay healthy! (Especially since we were exposed to all the germs at the Panther Creek Fall Festival this past Saturday night!! GAG!!!)

Hope all of you stay healthy too!!

Happy Wednesday!

My Lil' Lady Bug

Blake, Addi, and I headed out to Panther Creek's fall festival this past Saturday night. Addi went to the fall festival last year, but she had LOTS more fun this year (Since she was able to actually run around and play!) She fished at the fishing pond, walked the cake walk and the plant walk, and got to bounce around in the jumping castle (FYI- She refused to come out of the jumping castle, so guess who had to climb into the castle, jump, bounce, and chase Addi around, pin her down, and bounce us both out of the castle while Addi was kicking and screaming?? Yeah...it wasn't pretty! (Although it might have been pretty comical for all the other parents and and children waiting for their turn in the bouncy castle!-ha!)

After we finished all the games, Blake and I thought me might ATTEMPT to play a few rounds of Bingo. (The senior class does a Bingo fundraiser each year at the Fall Festival.) Well, after Addi had consumed two suckers AND a cup of homemade ice cream, there was NO WAY we could stay. She was absolutely W-I-L-D! I guess she got a massive sugar high, because she was running around the cafeteria like a crazy woman! She was having a blast, but my goodness she was WILD! We ended up leaving pretty early, but we heard that Blake's Granny won some good prizes...She always stays until the very last game is over;]

Here is an insanely ridiculous amount of pictures of Addi dressed up in her lady bug costume for the fall festival. (She LOVED her costume by the way...She kept saying, "Preee!!! (Pretty!)" the whole time she was wearing it!)

My wild little lady bug:]

This is my favorite picture- I just love it!!

Her infamous, 'show me your pretty smile' pose!

It's hard to tell, but this is Addi in the bouncy castle, refusing to come out!

Enjoying her ice cream...

Enjoying 'sucka' #2 (You can kinda just tell by the look in her eyes in this picture that she is about to go wild!! lol)

Happy Monday!

Thanks Aunt KiKi!!

Just some pictures of Adds showing off her new Nike sweat suit from Aunt KiKi!! Thank you Aunt KiKi!!

Addi really needs some new Nike shoes to make her new outfit complete...Yes, she finally outgrew her first pair of Nikes. Just a little hint for anyone reading this blog who might need some Christmas ideas for Addi;] (Some little Asics or New Balance shoes would be just fine too;])

PS- Check out the video below for a little glimpse of Addi doing 'the bunny rabbit.'

Happy Friday!!

Until Next Time....

The Bunny Rabbit

I have had the hardest time uploading videos here lately!! I KNOW I uploaded this one right side up, but looks like it still turned out sideways...SORRY!!! This is just a little glimpse of Addi's bunny rabbit. She never does very well once the video camera is out. And of course she always does better when she has a crowd cheering her on;] (I was the only one cheering for her in this video.) Hopefully I can get the REAL bunny rabbit on video soon. Hope you enjoy- Even though you have to crane your neck sideways to wath it- ha!!
